UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE

Boreham Wood Football club are delighted to announce, that following Arsenals thrilling 1-0 win over Besiktas last night in the Champions League, that they have progressed to the group stages. As such, it will mean that the Gunners U/19’s will automatically qualify for the prestigious Youth Champions league competition.

Arsenal U19 v Borussia Dortmund U19 - UEFA Youth LeagueWe will once again host all the Arsenal U/19 YCL group games here at Meadow Park and it is hoped that all or some of these games can be played on the same day as Arsenals first team home Champions league fixtures, with an afternoon kick off.

With today’s Champions League draw being made live on sky in Monaco, it’s fantastic that all of us at Meadow Park are watching the draw with great interest as the youth group stage will follow the same format and opposition as Arsenal face in the men’s competition.

So let’s hope for an exciting draw, as we look forward to welcoming both Arsenal and our European guests to Meadow Park. This really is looking like an outstanding chance for all supporters, to get to see a game and cast your eye over the array of young talent on view, in the most prestigious youth club competition in the world..
