YOUNGSTERS EYE TREBLE

Following a full schedule of fixtures Boreham Wood FCs Under 18s are two games away from securing a treble winning season for the second year running.

Woods youngsters have already secured their 7th consecutive league title after an impressive 7 – 1 victory at Meadow Park, against a well drilled Leighton Town side.

This epic win was followed by another high scoring affair when they dismissed Stofold 7 – 0 in the Semi Final of the SCFYL Champions of Champions play off at Meadow Park securing their place in the Final where they will face Grays on Wednesday 15th May.

However, before Wood travel to Essex, they will look the retain the SCFYL Brian Hitchings Cup following a well earn’t 2 – 1 win at Berkhampstead on Tuesday night.

The final will take place this coming Monday, 13th May at Meadow Park kick off 7.30pm and will face either Luton Town or Sawbridgeworth Town.

So why not come along and support our youngsters as they look to finish off what has already been an incredible league and cup campaign.

Manager Luke Garrard commented “This set of lads have worked incredibly hard throughout the season and only through their dedication, hard work and drive have they made it to this position. With all the fixture congestion the boys have done remarkably well and deserve every accolade they receive. We have now two games to finish the season and hopefully they will raise to the occasions and bring home the treble they deserve”.
