WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT MORE THAN EVER

As we enter the most important two weeks in Boreham Wood Football clubs 67 year history, the Town, the players and everyone associated with the club is full of hope and anticipation..

We are truly thankful for the many messages of support and good luck from our supporters from all around the world. We are in truth gobsmacked by just how many Wood fans are following and supporting us from afar. We have in fact had messages of support from as far afield as Australia, New Zealand and Japan, from the USA to the Middle East and right across Europe.

We’ve made so much progress as a club in recent years but it’s nice that everyone still understands that we are approaching the play offs as the underdog club. We have in some people’s eyes perhaps overachieved this year but our belief as a club is genuinely strong, our players belief in each other is even stronger and the entire squad are confident, fully fit and raring to go..

We are aware we have only achieved our first target and that was to ensure that we made the play offs. We have though done that in style, by finishing second in the league and thus ensuring our highest ever league standing.

So we are not in the slightest bit downbeat by missing out on the title by just two points and we now look forward to the play off challenge ahead.. The whole club is focused and ready, we know if we succeed over the next few weeks, it will lead to play off success and a tilt at playing in the National Conference league next season..

So we once again ask our supporters to travel and travel in numbers.. We need you to find your way to Havant this Wednesday and then we need you to turn up at Meadow Park on Saturday for the semi final decider.

We are going to need your support for the play offs and we are unashamedly urging you all to please, please travel and attend both games.. A supporters coach is available to our fans on a first come first served basis and it will be leaving the club at 4:30pm sharp on Wednesday.

So even if you haven’t been to an away game for years, please help us as we attempt to make the impossible promotion dream, a fantastic reality..
