MATCH PREVIEW – BOREHAM WOOD VS ARSENAL XI

With pre-season now well under way for Ross Jenkins’ men, all eyes are now focused on Saturday, with an exciting Arsenal XI visiting the Mangata Pay UK Stadium this Saturday. After a promising display against Watford on Wednesday evening, the Wood will look to go one better this time around and claim their first win of pre-season.

The last meeting between the two sides came during last year’s pre-season, with the Wood claiming a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Mo Sagaf and Kwesi Appiah.

Tomorrow presents another firm test, against an Arsenal side with many talented and dangerous players on show and will be an opportunity for Jenkins to claim his first victory at the helm.

Myles Lewis-Skelly:

Lewis-Skelly joined Arsenal at the age of nine. A versatile defensive-minded midfielder, he has performed well since stepping up to under 21 level. Lewis-Skelly is a tough tackler with excellent technical ability and an engine to get from box-to-box. With five goals and nine assists last season, Lewis-Skelly also contributes to the team with his share of goals and assists in the final third.
