CANCELLED – YEOVIL TOWN (H)

23 December 2020

Following yesterday’s initial 24-hour postponement of our FA Trophy 3rd Round match up against Yeovil Town, the Club can confirm that after receiving correspondence from the FA and our opponents Yeovil Town, this evening’s rearranged fixture has now been cancelled.

As announced, due to two Yeovil Town players showing COVID-19 symptoms yesterday, the player’s in question were tested but both were required to return negative test results by 2.30pm today for the rearranged fixture to go ahead as planned.

Unfortunately, as of 2.30pm this afternoon neither players test results had been returned and as such we can confirm that Yeovil Town have subsequently withdrawn from the competition, forfeiting the fixture. Boreham Wood will progress through into the 4th Round to take on Torquay United at Meadow Park on Saturday 16th January 2021, 3.00pm kick off.

Can we take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience this has caused and thank all supporters for your patience in this matter. Lastly and most importantly, Boreham Wood FC would like to wish those player’s experiencing COVID-19 symptoms a full and speedy recovery.
