Boreham Wood Football Club’s function and facility team are now taking bookings for our brand-new 5thGeneration Astro Turf which will be completed on July 27, 2017.
Our new pitch is one of the newest, and most advanced artificial surfaces currently on the market; no expense has been spared to ensure that it will play as close to natural grass as you can get.
Whether you want to drive the ball into the top corner like recent signing Shaun Jeffers, make a match-saving tackle like our skipper Mark Ricketts or attempt a silky-smooth pass like our marquee summer signing Kieran Murtagh, this is your opportunity!
Boreham Wood Football Club have attempted, and we feel, succeeded in providing you all with one of the top training facilities and stadiums anywhere in the local area. As another £1.8 million pounds worth of site investment has been spent over the summer.
Our new astro pitch and facility has certainly got people excited and is now the training ground of choice, not only for the Boreham Wood first team, but also for our acclaimed BW PASE Academy, all age groups of Arsenal ladies, plus both Arsenal and Excels development centres.
Put simply, this brand-new surface will offer all players, of all abilities, a highly superior, FIFA approved pitch. In truth, nothing locally can compare to our facility.
Our new facility has been designed to cater for improved parking and better sight for spectators who are watching their loved ones use our Astro pitches.
We feel that our viewing and seating areas now befit a club of our stature; an underdog club who now play its football at National League level. We know that our changes will please you and we feel they will greatly enhance the watching experience for not only parents and guardians, but the general public as well.
The viewing areas are now more spacious than ever and have increased seating, along with multiple picnic benches. We have replaced the old rebound boards with a fencing system that doesn’t obscure viewing, and we’ve created a simpler pitch divide netting system.
Our facility will also feature 12 brand new state of the art, portable, aluminium miniature soccer goals. There will also be a new top-of-the-line fence netting system. This means that there is far less chance of any wayward balls hitting a parked car.
