Boreham Wood’s PASE Scheme (Programme for Academic and Sporting Excellence) are delighted to announce our Second trial date for the 2014/2015 season.
This trial will be held on Thursday 10th April 2014, 10.00am at Boreham Wood Football Club, Meadow Park, WD6 5AL.
Our PASE Academy is a very well-known and much respected Football/Education Scheme, for talented young men aged between 16 to 18 years old.
This initial trial will give you the chance to look at our facilities, showcase your talent, speak to our Coaching and Medical team and talk with existing PASE Players to discuss their experiences and meet our Chairman.
We can offer you the chance to combine your studies and enjoy a high level of UEFA accredited football coaching from Ex-Professional players. With a football structure and training programme designed to suit players of all abilities.
We have designed our programme to allow every boy to progress through the various levels and abilities within the Football Club, that only a scheme of our size can offer.
Academically Boreham Wood Football Club because of our fantastic facilities, can offer our students full time education courses that are taught on site at the club and because we are also in partnership with top class education providers we can also offer a variety of full time courses off site.
We believe we offer the widest range of courses, including BTEC’s, CYQ Personal Trainer courses, Construction courses and A-Levels. We also offer other diverse courses but only if the timetables make these feasible with your training programmes.
Many other Schemes that claim to mirror our PASE Scheme, have lots of hidden charges. So you must be careful, when deciding your future and if it’s affordable in your circumstances. Our scheme is completely FREE save for a training kit cost that is heavily subsidised.
Boreham Wood Football Club has in the last year enjoyed its second year partnership with the Championships, Reading Football Club. This exciting initiative, flourished throughout 2012 and 2013 with BWFC player’s playing in 6 games between the two Youth Structures in the last two seasons and acquitted themselves very well.
These games proved so successful for both clubs, that it lead to us preparing Reading FC for FA Youth cup victory against Brentford and lead to BWFC players Sam Doolan, Rob Hastings and Maxwell Holland then going to Reading on trial.
The partnership also recognises the progress and investment being made at BWFC. This is headed up by our PASE Manager Billy Hunter, Academy Director Luke Garrard, Head Coach Mario Noto and our Clinical lead Megan Reid and is shown and seen by the constant upgrades of our facilities and infra-structure.
That investment has seen new classrooms built, New 900 seater stand built, New Minibuses purchased, Gyms and Recreation rooms built and this has seen our PASE Scheme and youth structure win National Titles and many other leagues and cups.
We’ve also produced 12 England Internationals at Schools and College level over the last 4 years, which is more than any other club at our level in the entire Country.
We have also progressed many of our boys in the last 10 years to play at a senior non-league level of football and presently we have 7 PASE Scheme players in our First Team squad and currently playing at Conference South Level.
We have also had many of our boys turn professional and both Matty Whichelow and Lee Hodson made debuts with our local Championship club Watford.
Another of our youth products Pelly Ruddock recently turned professional with West Ham United in 2012 signing a three year contract. We are proud to say Pelly made his first team debut for West Ham United in November 2013 and we are obviously delighted to play our part in his progress.
Across the board we now have PASE graduates at all levels of the Football League, the Non-League Pyramid and on full Scholarships in the USA or at good University’s in the UK.
We believe that ‘we achieve what others say they’ll do’. That’s why we recommend that you attend other trials in the coming months and make comparisons.
Please compare their facilities, their player progress, their Coaches and their Coaching set up. Compare their Pitches, Transport set up, Their Medical support and importantly their hidden costs and ask yourself can they offer you a complete Football/Education package. Only then do we believe you can you make an informed decision on your future.
It’s vital that you, your parents or guardians, focus on your future and we are confident that when you consider all the factors. That we will be your PASE Scheme of choice, as nobody we believe can remotely match our success, our care and our investment over the last 10 years.
So if you are 16 to 18 years old and wish to trial with Boreham Wood Football Clubs PASE Scheme, then we want to hear from you.
If you cannot make our 2nd trial on the 10th April 2014, don’t worry, please call the PASE Department on 0208 953 5097 and ask to speak with Luke, Mario or Megan to discuss your future.
