SMITH DEPARTS FOR BILLERICAY

Boreham Wood Football Club can confirm that Connor Smith has departed to join Billericay Town, on a permanent transfer.

The 25-year-old joined the Wood in the summer of 2018 from Yeovil and has gone on to make 11 appearances for the club.

Prior to his time with the Wood, he had spells with AFC Wimbledon, Plymouth Argyle and Yeovil Town.

Born in Ireland, Smith’s footballing talents first came to prominence on Sky television show “Football’s Next Star.”

The offensive midfielder was runner up to Ben Greenhalgh in the 2010 addition of the show, which attracted the interest of Watford, who signed him on a youth contract.
