Tyrone Marsh

Biography

Fan’s favourite Tyrone Marsh first joined the club in the summer of 2019 following his departure from Macclesfield Town. Marsh began his professional career at Oxford United, graduating from their Academy in 2012 and made his debut against Leeds United in the Football League Trophy, before loan spells away from the Kassam Stadium with the likes of Aylesbury, Staines Town and Welling United, before departing the U’s at the end of the 2013/14 season.

Single season spells with Ebbsfleet United, Torquay United and Dover Athletic between 2014 and 2017 ended in Marsh joining Macclesfield Town before the beginning of the 2017/18 season following a successful trial period. In two seasons with Macclesfield, Marsh helped the Silkmen clinch the National League title during the 2017/18 season, before then helping them retain their Football League status during the 2018/19 season, however amid financial difficulties at Moss Rose, Marsh agreed to mutually terminate his contract with Macclesfield.

In July 2019 Marsh arrived at Meadow Park and in his first season with Boreham Wood he scored 15 goals in 40 total appearances, helping the team reach the National League play-offs. After a brief move to Stevenage in 2020, Marsh returned to Meadow Park in February 2021 for an undisclosed fee.

Upon his return, Marsh played a pivotal role in Boreham Wood’s historic FA Cup run, scoring the decisive goal against AFC Wimbledon and contributing to the victory over AFC Bournemouth, setting up a fifth-round match against Premier League side Everton. He was also instrumental in the squad that reached the play-off semi-final against Notts County after defeating Barnet in the play-off eliminator.
