Hare joined the club in July 2024 following the conclusion of his contract with Dagenham & Redbridge. Josh signed his first professional contract with boyhood club Gillingham in November 2012. After various loan spells with the likes of Whitstable Town, Eastbourne Borough, Maidstone United, Lewes, Hastings United and Leatherhead, Hare departed the Priestfield Stadium to join one of his former loan clubs, Eastbourne Borough, on a permanent basis in July 2016.
Impressive spells with Eastbourne Borough, Maidstone United and Eastleigh would catch the attention of the Football League, with Josh building a stellar reputation within Non-League football as an exciting progressive young full back, and in June 2019 Josh signed for Bristol Rovers.
After two season at the Memorial Stadium, Hare would return to his former club Eastleigh in the summer of 2021, but his return to the Silverlake Stadium was short lived with National League rivals Dagenham & Redbridge acquiring Josh’s services in February 2022 for an undisclosed fee, going onto make over 70 appearances for the Daggers across a two-year stay at Victoria Road.
