Jayden began his career with his boyhood club Nottingham Forest where he signed his first professional contract in April 2019 before being named as a member of Forest’s first team squad ahead of the 2019/20 season.
Football League loan spells with Exeter City and Forest Green Rovers gave Jayden valuable experience in senior football, making over 64 appearances across the two loan spells during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons. A loan to Forest’s neighbours Notts County followed on an initial one-month loan in December 2021, but after impressive displays in a Notts’ shirt, in January 2022 Jayden’s loan was extended until the end of the season. Despite play-off heartbreak at the hands of Grimsby Town, Jayden’s impressive form earned him a place in the 2021/22 National League team of the season.
In June 2022, Jayden moved north of the border to sign for Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen for an undisclosed fee. During the 2023/24 season, Jayden had two loan spells with Stockport County and Colchester United respectively. In September 2024, Jayden agreed the mutual termination of his contract with Aberdeen and signed for the Wood on a permanent basis a few weeks later.
