Dipo Akinyemi:

During the recent summer transfer window, Akinyemi made a move to York City FC from Ayr United for an undisclosed fee. The 26-year-old forward had previously concluded the last season as the top scorer and Player of the Year in the Scottish Championship, registering 24 goals and 11 assists in 45 appearances. Akinyemi had also demonstrated his goal-scoring abilities earlier in the National League South while playing for Welling United. He began his career at Stevenage and had several spells on loan in non-league leagues such as Aldershot Town and Dulwich Hamlet. In the ongoing season, Akinyemi has emerged as York City’s leading scorer in the league, recording 9 goals in the initial 25 games.
