MATCH PREVIEW: WOKING VS BOREHAM WOOD

8 March 2017

Wood travel to face Woking this coming Saturday. This tie comes after both sides didn’t get their desired result last weekend. The Cards visited North Ferriby United and came away pointless after a 2-1 defeat. The Wood were meanwhile held to a goal less draw at Meadow Park.

Woking have a solid record against the Wood. The two sides have met 11 times in the last decade and Wood have have won only once at that was at Meadow Park earlier in the season.

Our last two visits to Kingfield were in the F A Cup 4th Qualifying Round, which resulted in another 1-2 defeat for the Wood. Whilst last year the Wood battled for a hard earned point in their battle to avoid the drop.

Though it is Woking that are this year battling to avoid relegation, sitting just outside the bottom four on 37 points. Wood currently sit 13th on 44 points and a win could elevate them into the top 12.
