MATCH PREVIEW: WEYMOUTH (H)

23 August 2024

Dorking Wanderers vs Boreham Wood // Meadowbank Stadium // Tuesday 20th August 2024 // 19:45 KO

The Wood return to Meadow Park tomorrow following an all-action 2-2 draw away at Dorking Wanderers on Tuesday, as we host Weymouth. The result means we continue our unbeaten run going into Saturday’s game. Weymouth finished 15th in National League South last season, an improvement on the previous campaign when they finished 19th. Terras Boss Mark Molesley, who has recently begun his 2nd stint as Weymouth manager, will certainly be firing up his team to claim all 3 points tomorrow.

We hope to see many of you tomorrow, Wood Army. Your support for the lads doesn’t go unnoticed!

FORM GUIDE // ALL COMPS

Weymouth F.C.: L-L-L-L-L

It hasn’t been the start that Weymouth would’ve hoped for, going winless in their opening 3 fixtures of the season, making them the only team in the league to not have claimed any points so far.

In their penultimate friendly, the Terras faced AFC Bournemouths U21’s team, to who they lost 2-1. Things didn’t get better as they ended preseason with a 2-0 defeat to Dorchester town.

The Terras kicked of their campaign by narrowly missing out on a point away to Tonbridge Angels. They then welcomed Hemel Hempstead to the Bob Lucas Stadium, who came out victors winning 2-0, which Chippenham Town later replicated 3 days later.

ONE TO WATCH:

Malachi Linton:

The 23 year old was on loan at the Terras for the second half of last season, scoring 5 goals in 11 appearances during his loan. Linton opened up Weymouths scoring for the season after getting on the scoresheet against Tonbridge Angels.
