THE CONTEXT
This evening, Boreham Wood travel to The Bob Lucas Stadium where they match up against Weymouth in the Vanarama National League.
Weymouth beat Altrincham 2-1 at home on Saturday in their last fixture thanks to a brace from Cambridge United loanee Andrew Dallas.
Wood, however, walked away pointless against an inform Wrexham side at Meadow Park. Although the Wood took a two-goal lead before half time, the hosts were reduced to 10 men and just couldn’t stop the Red Dragons who eventually won 3-2.

It was a classic example of a game of two halves at Meadow Park on Saturday as Boreham Wood surrendered a two goal half time lead to lose 3-2 against play-off chasing Wrexham.
Boreham Wood took a deserved lead after some excellent interplay between Whitely and Murtagh lead to a cross from Femi Ilesamni which was well finished by Kane Smith. On the stroke of half time, Wood doubled their lead when another excellent Murtagh pass picked out Tshimanga who did well to outmuscle the Wrexham defender before finishing past Rob Lainton to ensure Boreham Wood were sitting pretty going into the interval.
On the hour mark, Wrexham halved Boreham Wood’s lead when Hall-Johnson struck an excellent shot into the corner of Nathan Ashmore’s goal. Another significant incident happened on seventy-four minutes when Wood’s Tom Champion received his marching orders following a second yellow card leaving the home side really up against it.
The Wood nearly held out too but on eighty-seven minutes, an excellent back post header from Ponticelli drew the away side level. As the fourth official was about to signal four minutes of added time, Hall-Johnson scored his second goal of the match with a fantastic header to give the visitors all three points.
Tom Champion will miss this evening’s game after he received two yellow cards in Saturday’s game vs. Wrexham.

The Terras come into this fixture off the back of a 2-1 home win against Altrincham in the Vanarama National League on Saturday.
Weymouth went two goals up thanks to a brace from Andrew Dallas, the hosts defended well to ensure they took all three points even though they currently sit in 18th position.

BRENNAN CAMP
Camp came through the youth academy with AFC Bournemouth and signed his first professional contract in 2019. During the 2018/19 campaign, Camp captained the Cherries to the FA Youth Cup quarter final.
The young defender has spent time on loan with Portland United, Poole Town and Dorchester Town. Camp spent time on loan with the Terras last season in the National League South and featured 17 times in their play off winning season.
He re-joined the Terras at the start of this season after impressing during last season’s promotion campaign.
Camp is yet to make a senior appearance for the Cherries but has featured 15 times for Weymouth this season and will be hoping to continue his run of games for the remainder of the season.

SEAN SHIELDS
Sean Shields spent eight years in the youth academy with Tottenham Hotspur before joining Potters Bar Town in 2008.
In 2010, Shields signed for Conference South outfit St Albans City where he went on to make 71 appearances, scoring 21 goals.
Shields’ impressive form in non-league attracted attention from a host of Football League clubs and he eventually signed for Dagenham & Redbridge in League Two.
After spending two years with the Daggers, Shields joined National League South’s Ebbsfleet United where he went on to spend five years and made over 110 appearances for the Fleet.
During his time at Stonebridge Road, Shields spent time out on loan with several clubs including Chelmsford City, Margate and Maidstone United, before joining us at Meadow Park in 2019.
During his time at Boreham Wood, Shields make 10 appearances and scored one goal. Shields spent last season on loan with Notts County in the National League and helped them reach the play off final.
It was agreed that Shields would part ways with Fleet at the end of the 2019/20 campaign which consequently saw a permanent deal with newly promoted Weymouth.

ANDREW DALLAS
Andrew Dallas spent time in the youth set up with Rangers and signed his first professional contract in 2016 at just 16 years old.
Dallas spent time on loan with Stenhousemuir and scored three goals in six appearances during his time with Stenny.
In 2019 Dallas signed for Cambridge in League Two and has featured 23 times since joining.
Towards the end of January, Dallas joined the Terras on loan and scored a brace in Saturday’s home victory against Altrincham.

It was a lively start to the game, and it was the visitors who edged proceedings with Josh McQuoid causing the Wood back line some problems.
The 66th minute saw the introduction of Matt Rhead which was the changing point in the game as he linked up well with Wood’s top scorer Kabongo Tshimanga.
In the 72nd minute of the match, Keiran Murtagh expertly found Tshimanga with an excellent pass, the forward did well to hold off two Terras defenders and found the back of the net with a blistering strike coming off the underside of the bar to give Wood a 1-goal lead.
Wood had several chances to extend the lead in the second half, but the Terras defence remained strong and the game finished 1-0.
