FORM GUIDE // ALL COMPS

Salisbury: L-D-W-D-L

It’s fair to say that it’s been a mixed start to the season for the Whites, with Brian Dutton’s side picking up 1 win, playing out 2 draws and suffering 1 loss so far this Vanarama National League South campaign.

In their final pre-season outing, Salisbury suffered a tight 3-2 loss at home to Woking of the National League. The opening day of the season followed, and it was almost a perfect start for Brian Dutton’s side as they travelled to Hemel Hempstead Town. Whites’ winger, Craig Fasanmade bagged a first-half brace, giving his side the lead going into the half-time interval. However, Salisbury would be unable to retain their lead as two late goals from the Tudors’ Ricky German and Brandon Barzey denied the Whites’ of their opening day triumph, the points were shared.

However, a first win of the season for the Wiltshire side would come on the following Saturday as they welcomed Slough Town to the Ray Mac, Josh Hedges converting from the penalty spot to secure a 1-0 victory. The Whites’ would then host Truro City and the visitors were off to a flying start as they took the lead in the 1st minute, but Josh Hedges was there again to score from 12 yards out, salvaging a point for Brian Dutton’s men. Finally, a first loss in the league would be suffered by Salisbury yesterday in a narrow 1-0 defeat away to Hampton & Richmond Borough.

ONE TO WATCH:

Craig Fasanmade:

24-year-old left-winger, Craig Fasanmade joined the Whites in July and has already found bagged two goals so far this Vanarama National League South campaign, both goals coming in a brace away to Hemel Hempstead Town. There’s no doubt that the attacker knows how to find the back of the net and will be a big factor in preparations for the Jack Payne’s backline.
