This Tuesday, Boreham Wood welcome Notts County to Meadow Park for their first ever meeting as league equals. The Wood come into this fixture on the back of a convincing home victory where they came out 4-0 winners against Stockport County.
Whereas, Notts County will be making the trip down south looking make amends following their recent away defeat to Bromley in the Vanarama National League on Saturday.
Ahead of the match, Boreham Wood Manager Luke Garrard said, “They have a good manager (Neal Ardley), and we know what they are about and what they are going to bring”. Garrard also mentioned about the away fans, “they’ll come in numbers, like Stockport did on Saturday, but we will need to silence them the same way we did with our footballing ability.”
THE CONTEXT
Boreham Wood come into the match in 12th position and in fine form being unbeaten in three league games, which include wins in both of their previous home fixtures at Meadow Park.
As for Notts County, they dropped down to 16th in the Vanarama National League after a narrow defeat against the unbeaten league leaders Bromley in their previous fixture.
NOTTS COUNTY RECENT FORM
Notts County travel to Meadow Park sitting 12th in the recent form table, with two wins, two draws and two losses in their previous six matches. However, they will look to improve on their recent away form in particular, having only secured all three points just once on the road this season.
Interestingly, Notts have drawn the joint second most games this season in the Vanarama National league sharing the points on five occasions so far in this seasons campaign.

Kyle Wootton, Striker
Kyle Wootton scored a brilliant goal in Notts County slender away defeat to Bromley on Saturday, to his goal tally to three in three games. Wootton is currently on loan from League Two strugglers Scunthorpe United and will look to showcase further why the Football League side have made a mistake in loaning out the striker for the fifth time in as many seasons.

Notts County 2-0 Boreham Wood (Tuesday 15th November 2016, FA Cup First Round Replay)
Following a heart breaking 2-2 draw at Meadow Park in the original tie, where then Football League side Notts County came back from a two-goal deficit following a brace Adam Campbell to clinch a replay, the Wood travelled to Meadow Lane on bitterly cold November night in a First Round FA Cup replay.
Although Wood huffed and puffed, with Bruno Andrade having a number of opportunities, they were unable to have the same troubling effect on the County defence as they did in the original tie.
In 24th minute of the game, County took the lead when Wood defender Joe Devera misjudged the bounce of a pass and Forte nipped in to intercept before lashing the ball past goalkeeper Grant Smith.
County doubled their lead in second half injury time, when substitute Aaron Collins, then on loan from Wolves at Meadow Lane, unleashed a thunderous strike from outside the penalty area into the top corner.
IN FOCUS: KABONGO TSHIMANGA
Star-man Kabongo Tshimanga is currently top scorer in the Vanarama National league and is our player ‘in focus’ this week’s match preview. The striker scored 37 goals in all competitions last season for National league South side Oxford City, leading to a number of Football league and National League sides vying for his signature, fortunately Kabby felt Meadow Park was the place for him to continue his footballing develop, penning a two-year deal in the summer.
He’s taken the fifth tier of English football by a storm scoring eight goals in his first 12 appearances. The striker will look to continue his superb home form having been on the scoresheet four times in his previous two home fixtures.

We advise all supporters planning to attend Boreham Wood FC matches at Meadow Park, both home and away supporters, purchase tickets beforehand. Once purchased, tickets are available to download directly to supporters’ phones via the Ticket Arena app and can also be printed at home and brought to the game for entry.

DISABLED OR LESS ABLE SUPPORTERS
BWFC has dedicated facilities for wheel chair bound and less able supporters. These include a viewing area and disabled toilet facilities. These are available via the West Stand. Supporters wishing to make use of these facilities are asked to enter the stadium via the South Stand Turnstiles off Brook Road car park. Disabled parking bays are available in this car park.
Please note that these parking spaces are limited and on a first come, first served basis. Unfortunately, spaces cannot be reserved by the club.
Please note that carers tickets will only be issued to those with a valid carer’s card, or, proof that they require a carer.
USE OF CAR PARK AND CLUB HOUSE
No supporter parking is available at Meadow Park, the club car park is available to players, directors, officials and guests only.
Boreham Wood FC advise supporters to park in Brook Road Public Car Park. Access to the Stadium is available from this car park via the South Stand Turnstiles (for away supporters) and via a public footpath through the adjacent park (for home supporters.) Please note that parking charges may apply.
Alternative parking is also available via the Hertsmere Council Civic Car Park, which is less than a 5 minute walk to the club. Again, please note parking charges may apply.
For home supporters using Brook Road Car Park, who wish to use the clubs bar facilities, this is a short walk to the main club house through the park.
Unfortunately, it is Boreham Wood FC policy that our club house is for home supporters only on match days. Away supporters are advised to use the facilities in the town centre just a short walk away from the Stadium via Brook Road.
