The Daggers were on a run of nine games without a win until Saturday where they picked up a 2-1 win at home against Woking, thanks to a last-minute goal from Inih Effiong.

Prior to that they had a disappointing exit from the FA Cup after losing 1-0 away to Bracknell Town, when Kameron English scored a last-minute winner.

They travelled to Oldham Athletic on the 7th October and after trailing in the first half thanks to James Norwood, familiar face, Josh Rees scored in the 74th minute to secure an impressive point on the road.

The two games before that however ended in 2-1 defeat at home to York and a 3-2 defeat away to Aldershot Town.

PLAYED FOR BOTH?

Josh Rees signed for the Wood in 2021 and spent two seasons with us where he enjoyed two successful FA Cup runs especially in 2022 where we reached the 5th round of the competition after beating AFC Bournemouth. The season after, he was also involved in a side that reached the Vanarama National League play-off semi-final. In total Rees made 87 appearances for the Wood and scored 15 goals.

He signed for the Daggers this Summer and has hit the ground running for the Northeast London side, he’s featured in every game so far this season and is currently their joint top scorer in the league with 3 goals.
