 PREVIEW

Tomorrow, we travel to the South-East corner of London for a 3pm clash with Bromley. The honours were even in our Remembrance day meeting with the Lilywhites, back in November. Bromley struck first through their number 19, Olufela Olomola and the visitors led 1-0 at the break, but Erico Sousa fired home in the 80th minute, salvaging a late point for the Wood.

Our South-East London opponents currently sit 2nd in both the table and form guide. Bromley are currently unbeaten in their previous 9 games in all competitions, picking up wins in 7 of them. The Wood currently sit 15th in the table but come into this fixture sat 5th in the form guide and unbeaten in the last 3 in the league, drawing twice. Luke Garrard will be hoping his side can turn Sunday’s draw against York City into a crucial 3 points tomorrow afternoon.

FORM GUIDE

Bromley – D-W-W-D-W

Bromley are 7 league games unbeaten, registering 5 wins and 2 draws, and 9 games unbeaten in all competitions. On Boxing Day, they faced local rivals, Ebbsfleet United, and netted three times on the day, with goals from Michael Cheek, Ben Krauhaus and Olufela Olomola. The Ravens had to overcome a late scare, however, as Ebbsfleet’s Dominic Poleon brought the score back to 3-2 in the 89th minute, completing a brace for the forward. But Bromley would see the game off, coming away from the tie with a narrow win.

Bromley would round off the year by hosting Ebbsfleet 4 days later in a game which saw Cheek, Krauhaus and Olomola get on the score sheet again in a 5-1 thrashing of their local visitors. The Lilywhites would then begin 2024 with a 0-0 draw away to Maidenhead united, followed up by a fourth round FA Trophy tie with Chippenham Town on Saturday. Bromley were held to a 1-1 draw by their National League South opponents but would win 4-2 on penalties and progress to a fifth-round tie with Aveley next month.

ONES TO WATCH

Ben Krauhaus:

19-year-old attacker and Bromley academy product, Ben Krauhaus, has played a major role in the Lilywhites’ league campaign so far, particularly with his form of recent. Krauhaus has impressed in recent matches and earnt a place in the Vanarama National League Team of the Week for Boxing Day. This came after his eye-catching performance against Ebbsfleet United, a game in which the attacker scored the second for the Ravens in a 3-2 win on the road.

Krauhaus would then net a brace in Bromley’s 5-1 thrashing of Ebbsfleet 4 days later, followed by the opening goal in their FA Trophy tie against Chippenham Town. The young forward has now bagged 4 goals in his last 4 games and is certainly one for Luke Garrard and his side to keep an eye on tomorrow afternoon.
