MATCH PREVIEW: BOREHAM WOOD VS SOLIHULL MOORS

20 January 2017
Preview

Wood are back to the bread and butter of National league action this Saturday as they welcome Solihull Moors to Meadow Park.

The first meeting between the sides this year ended all square after a superb goal by Angelo Balanta cancelled out Jamey Osborne’s goal 9 minutes prior.

If the world of social media are correct both Jamey Osborne and Akwasi Asante will not be involved Saturday as they are reported to be signing for Moors ex Gaffer Marcus Bignot at Grimsby Town.

Solihull sit comfortably in the lower half of the table but know they need at least 4 more wins to secure their National League Status.

There is the potential of a goal feast after Solihull have scored 10 and conceded 10 in their last 4 matches although as previously mentioned could be without top scorer Akwasi Asante.

After a torrid run of form Wood seem to have found their feet again after an away win at Torquay and a win at home to Alfreton Town last week.

New signing Tom Hitchcock will go straight into the gaffers squad, although Dave Stephens is likely to miss out after picking up an injury in last weeks FA Trophy fixture.

A win for the Wood would propel them back into the top 10 and Luke Garrards side need your support so please do make every effort to come down and cheer on the lads.
