MATCH PREVIEW: BOREHAM WOOD VS MACCLESFIELD TOWN

17 March 2016

Wood are back at home this coming Saturday, when Macclesfield Town travel to Meadow Park, in a game the Wood can ill afford to lose.

Wood’s current home form is a worrying one for Gaffer Luke Garrard. Defensively the side is sound with the Goals for column being the main issue. Garrard looking to add goals has dipped into the Loan market to sign Barnsley Striker Harry White, who joins for the remainder of the season.

White who scored three goals in five appearances for Kidderminster earlier in the season, including a man of the match performance against the Wood at Meadow Park will go straight into the Match day squad.

Callum Reynolds who made his comeback for the reserves in midweek is also in contention for a return to the squad following a lengthy layoff.

The Silkman who are sitting comfortably in mid-table have had a torrid time of late, are winless in their last eight matches, three of those being on the road. Their last away victory came in a 1-0 victory at Prenton Park against Tranmere Rovers.

Macclesfield though do boast ten victories on the road this season and have the prolific marksmen in Kristian Dennis who has netted 17 times this campaign amongst their ranks.

With both managers desperate to get back to winning ways it promises to be an emotionally charged encounter.

As ever your support has been fantastic this season and we hope you can come and get behind Luke and the players in our first of our final four ‘cup finals’ at Meadow Park.
