MATCH PREVIEW – BILLERICAY TOWN VS BOREHAM WOOD

19 July 2024

After a tough clash against an Arsenal XI, Ross Jenkins’ men now turn their attention to their next pre-season game, against Billericay Town. Isthmian League Premier Division side Billericay will be a firm test for the Wood, who are still searching for their first victory of the pre-season campaign.
Last season, the Blues finished 6th on 76 points, only 3 points from 2nd place in the table. Despite missing out on promotion to step 2 last season, Gary McCann’s side will be eager to go one step further in this upcoming campaign.
Jenkins will be well aware of the threat that the Blues can pose for his new side and will have a full week of training to prepare.
Gary McCann, is an experienced manager, having previously held the reigns at Hampton & Richmond for 4 years as well as 13 years at Hendon – who we will also face during this pre-season. With National League South experience, it will certainly be an excellent and exciting opportunity for both sides.
