The Wood travel to Bath City tomorrow for our third round Izusu FA Trophy tie. The last time we faced Bath City was back in 2014 where the Wood lost the game 2-0 away from home in the National League South. 9 years on the two teams meet again. Bath City currently sit 6th in the National League South.

The Roman’s last win in the league came on the 11th November against Aveley, they won 3-0 thanks to a Cody Cooke hattrick. From there they they won their FA Trophy second round tie 1-0 against Beaconsfield Town.

Two draws followed, the first against Hemel Hempstead in a goalless game. They then travelled to Farnborough and after going behind twice in the game, they managed to pick up a 2-2 draw.

In their last two games they are on the back of two losses. The first coming against Chelmsford after leading 2-1 with Chelmsford down to ten men. They ended up losing the game 3-2. Most recently they had a tough test against table topping Yeovil Town. After a close game Yeovil found the breakthrough on the 80th minute thanks to a Morgan Williams goal.

ONES TO WATCH

Jordan Thomas is an attacking midfield who signed for Bath in June 2022, Jordan came up through the Provision Academy System in Oxford before joining Didcot Town during the 2020 summer. A year later he switched to North Leigh where he played approaching a 100 games, scoring 32 goals, during the next two seasons. This form attracted attention from a number of higher ranked clubs, and he moved to Twerton Park. This season he has already scored 7 league goals.
