LLOYD DOYLEY DEPARTS

23 May 2024

Boreham Wood FC can confirm the departure of Lloyd Doyley, who is joining the Watford Academy as their under 18’s assistant coach

Lloyd Doyley joined Boreham Wood in October 2020 as an Academy coach before transitioning to the first team setup in June 2021 as assistant manager to Luke Garrard. In his first season in this role, the club achieved great success, particularly during the memorable FA Cup run that saw Boreham Wood reach the fifth round after a famous victory against AFC Bournemouth, setting up a historic tie against Everton.

During the 2022/23 season, Doyley also played a key role in helping the team reach the play-off semi-final against Notts County, where we narrowly missed a trip to Wembley.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Lloyd for his dedication and hard work throughout his time at the club, including his outstanding contributions to the PASE Academy. His impact on and off the pitch has been invaluable.

As he returns to his boyhood club, we wish him all the best at Watford FC. We look forward to seeing what he can achieve in his new role.

Thank you for everything, Lloyd.
