LADIES DAY THIS BOXING DAY!

Boreham Wood FC are delighted to announce that this Boxing Day’s Vanarama National League match up with Kidderminster Harriers at the Mangata Pay UK Stadium Meadow Park will be FREE for all Women and girls for our final Ladies Day of 2023

Wood Chairman, Danny Hunter, has announced a final Ladies and Girls Day on Boxing Day against Kidderminster Harriers. Recognizing the tireless efforts of our Towns female supporters during the holiday period. As such he is offering a well-deserved mini break with a ‘Free’ afternoon of football and a complimentary glass of Prosecco thrown in at The Glass House.

The Chairman said, “my mum is unfortunately no longer with me, but let’s get it right, it’s our mums, wives, partners and girlfriends who do most of the worrying, the shopping, they do most of the wrapping, they also plan and cook the Christmas Dinner, on top of that they clear up after the kids, the dads, the partners, the families and friends and sometimes we forget to say something as simple as “thank you”. For me it’s the Ladies who make our Christmas what it is, and this is my way of saying “thank you” with a glass of bubbly thrown in. Most of these people are my friends and if this allows a festive family day at the Wood, if it helps us to get a great festive crowd and if we can then get a Wood win on the day then that will complete my Christmas and I can also thank people in person” Hunter concluded.
