KANTE & LOFTUS-CHEEK EXPECTED TO FEATURE ON FRIDAY EVENING

In anticipation of our eagerly anticipated pre-season friendly match against an XI side from our friends Chelsea FC, we can confirm their visiting squad will made up of mostly players from their development sides, though it is expected that some first team players will also feature on Friday evening, too.

As heavily publicised in the national media, World Cup winner N’Golo Kante and England international Ruben Loftus-Cheek were omitted from the Blue’s travelling squad on their tour to the United States due to their COVID-19 vaccination statuses, as such they are both expected to feature in Friday’s friendly fixture, whilst 2021/22 loanees who also haven’t travelled to the USA are also expected to be involved.
