HERTS EL CLASSICO IS SURELY BIGGER THAN A MANC DERBY

24 April 2019

Tonight we entertain our very good friends from St Albans City in the Herts Senior Cup final here at Meadow Park, with a 7:45pm kick off… We look forward to welcoming both sets of supporters and we thank them all for giving up the televised Manchester derby to be with us tonight.

We also look forward to greeting our legendary ex manager Ian Allinson, who returns to our football club. Where he was not only much loved, but who had so much success with us – it will certainly seem strange to see him enter the away dug out at Meadow Park…

We hope the final this evening, is an enjoyable sporting occasion that befits the two biggest non league teams presently playing in Hertfordshire. While we take this opportunity to wish everyone associated with the Saints, huge good luck in their quest to get themselves into the National league South play offs on Saturday by beating champions Torquay United…

Lastly we remind all supporters, that their will be a minutes applause just before kick off. A minutes applause to honour and celebrate the life of our ex manager Micky Hunter and our present Chairman Danny Hunter’s mother Barbara Vivien Hunter, who was recently taken from us but who had been associated with our football club for over 60 years…
