Farnborough vs. Boreham Wood – Match Preview

11 December 2012

by John Mead

This Saturday Wood are involved in a real Play-off battle with the Hampshire outfit.    Farnborough Football Club has been in scintillating League form of late, having won seven of their last nine League matches, to climb up to fifth in the table, just one place below us on goal difference.

Their home form is impressive having won all of their last five games at Cherrywood Road.

Wood will look to continue their own superb form on the road.    We have lost just one of our last nine away matches including our Cup runs, recording a League win at Dover Athletic and draws at Salisbury City and Bath City.

Recent Loan signing Luke Norris showed he is capable of helping our goal difference last Saturday, denied by a world class save when coming on as a Substitute.    His addition to the Squad gives Ian Allinson a healthy choice up front, a position the Club has been looking to strengthen as we go off to Hampshire in search of three precious points.

It promises to be a stern test and a fiercely fought affair in a quite superb Stadium, so programme those Tom Toms and come and cheer the boys on to victory!
