COME TO OUR COMMUNITY DAY

21 December 2012

Boreham Wood Football Club are delighted to announce that we will be holding our yearly Community Day on Saturday, 22nd December.

On the day we will host a very talented Hayes and Yeading side at Meadow Park. With K/O at 3pm.

This game is a Blue Square Conference South league fixture between two play-off hopefuls and we’re sure will be a close and exciting encounter.

This community initiative on our part, will we hope introduce new people within the local and wider community to the club and to give families and youngsters the chance to see a football match at a price that they can afford, especially with Christmas now upon us and with funds being tight.

As such we have also spoken to Arsenal who are such a supportive partner to the club and we have invited all Arsenal adult season ticket holders to the game. They will be able gain entry to the match ‘free of charge’ on producing their season tickets.

Free entry will also apply to every child on the day who is U/16 and to all OAP’s on production of ID and members of our brave armed forces who can also show their military ID card.

PLEASE NOTE; On the day if any of you supporters wish to bring along your kids or grandchildren to the club early. We have arranged for free coaching, fun and games, all organised on our Astro pitches for 4 to 12 year olds kids from 12:30 to 2 o’clock. This is all Safely held and supervised on site at Meadow Park WD6 5AL by our recognised UEFA coaches and Community department and is sure to be well received.

If the supporters of Boreham Wood, Arsenal or Hayes and Yeading, want to bring their kids and let them have a free coaching session then the more the merrier and you are most welcome!!. For the Adults who also wish to watch the football on TV that will be on show in the clubs bars and entry is again free.

After the kids have enjoyed their coaching sessions, we are then offering them a bite to eat in the club house and again this will be ‘free of charge’. When the kids are all fed and the grown ups are happy, they can then go into the Stadium and watch the game.

We have already sent out over 2,000 tickets into our 11 local primary schools for all the local school kids and the parents and guardians and we hope you will all participate and help support our efforts on the day.

All our local youth football teams and their Managers are also being spoken to in the hope they can join us and the response initially is good. We have approached local colleges and senior schools and hope this is seen by you all as a positive initiative and will be supported.

We are also appealing to any of the sports or local youth clubs in the area who we haven’t spoken to yet. If you are interested in coming to the game and supporting our Community initiative. Then Please ring or contact us on 0208 953 5716 and speak to Loretta Browne in the community office to book your tickets.
