Boreham Wood FC would like to update all of our supporters as we move toward the start of a belated pre-season in September, as well as the planned National League resumption on October 3rd.
PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES
Firstly, we can announce that at present all of our pre-season friendly games will be played behind closed doors, although we are exploring options available to us for live streaming of these matches. At present our pre-season match schedule is as follows: –
Saturday 5th September, 3pm – Wingate & Finchley (A)
Tuesday 8th September, 7.30pm – Billericay Town (A)
Saturday 12th September, 3pm – Concord Rangers (A)
Tuesday 15th September, 7.30pm – Slough Town (A)
Saturday 19th September, 3pm – Brentford XI (H)
Tuesday 22nd September, 7.30pm – Hemel Hempstead Town (A)
Saturday 26th September, 3pm – Opposition TBC
Saturday 3rd October – National League Season Opener
We are of course beholden to Government guidance and regulations published by DCMS in regard to spectators at sporting events. We will of course keep the Wood Army fully up-to-date with updated regulations and it’s ramifications on spectators being permitted to attend pre-season friendlies, both home and away, so stay tuned to our website and social media channels.
SEASON TICKETS
Secondly, we can unfortunately (or fortunately for some?) announce that we have made a very simple miscalculation in regard to the overall season ticket application count. We believed our season ticket sales applications had hit the 500 limit we had previously set, however during processing we have now found that there were duplicates caused by our online ticketing system and we have in fact only sold 448.
As such we are now making an additional 52 Adult and OAP tickets available, which will now go on sale with immediate effect until the first week in September and still at the discounted rate of £149.00.
How to purchase?
1 – Over the phone or in person
Please call or drop into our Main Club Office at Club during regular office hours (Monday to Friday, 10am to 5pm) to purchase your Adult/OAP season ticket. Contact number for the main club office is 020 8953 5097.
2 – Email
Please fill out the season ticket application below and email to our Community Department via bwfc.communitydep@hotmail.com. Please note: Accepted forms of payment are card payment over the phone, BACS transfer using the information stated on the application form or cheque via the post.
#LETFANSIN
We are now very confident that having looked at our segregated home and away ingress and egress points including overall number of turnstiles and exit gates, whilst also taking into consideration our larger than average concourses in our West Stand and North Bank, we feel we are in an excellent position to give ourselves a healthy Meadow Park COVID-19 capacity figure once DCMS confirm definitively that crowds can return to Stadiums.
With close to 1,400 seats to also ensure comfortable social distancing measures and with a simple one way system in operation. We feel that our stadium capacity, even as a COVID-19 restricted facility, will easily be able to house a crowd in the region of 1,200 to 1,400 supporters, which would still be less than a 25% of Meadow Park’s existing capacity.
2020/21 SEASON
We can also update all of our supporters that the National League fixture release date will be on 8th September. With pre-season and the new National League season fast approaching we can confirm that following yesterday’s season long loan signing of Corey Whitely from Newport County that our current 2020/21 squad is as follows: –
Goalkeeper
Nathan Ashmore
Defenders
Danny Woodards
Femi Ilesanmi
Tom Champion
David Stephens
Jamal Fyfield
Kane Smith
Midfielders
Mark Ricketts
Piero Mingoia
Adam McDonnell
Keiran Murtagh
Sorba Thomas
Gus Mafuta
Forwards
Kabongo Tshimanga
Matt Rhead
Corey Whitely
As always, we will keep the Wood Army informed as we look to make further signings this off-season, but in the meantime, remain rest assured that we are doing everything we can to be as competitive as possible.

Club Sponsorship
As many of the Wood Army would have seen, just last week we understandably lost four vital longstanding sponsors/partners in LEXUS, Regianni, Mango Tree and Panchaii, whilst gaining a new principle partner in EduClean Ltd as back of shirt sponsor.
As a small Community Club, sponsorship however big or small, is a huge component in what we are able to achieve both on the pitch and the Gaffer’s playing budget, as well as off of the pitch with our Community initiatives and Charity work.
Our Commercial Executive Mandee Morris is hard at work talking to potential sponsors/partners and exploring ways that Boreham Wood FC and local businesses can collaborate and build flourishing working relationships moving forward.
If you are interested in sponsoring Boreham Wood FC, or exploring an exciting way for your business to collaborate with the Club, please please contact our Commercial Executive at the Club Mandee Morris via email mandeemorris10@gmail.com or alternatively call the main club office on 020 8953 5097.
