BASINGSTOKE TOWN versus BOREHAM WOOD MATCH PREVIEW

22 November 2011

Tonight (Tuesday) Boreham Wood travel to Hampshire to face Basingstoke Town in the Blue Square Bet South, kick off 7.45pm.

Basingstoke have started the season well and currently sit in 6th position in the division, having recorded 29 points with 8 wins, 5 losses and just 3 draws from their 16 league games so far, scoring 31 and conceding 20.

On Saturday Basingstoke travelled to Sussex to face Eastbourne Borough, just a week after exiting The First Round Proper of the FA Cup at the hands of Brentford 1-0, however they showed their mental resilience returning to Hampshire with all 3 points, with goals from Aldershot Town loanee Bradley Bubb and Ex-Torquay and Stevenage Striker Tim Sills. So an extremely tough encounter is in store tonight.

Earlier in the season the sides met and played out 1-1 draw at Meadow Park. Basingstoke took the lead that night with a goal from Sam Delano-York after an hour, but ‘Wood’ equalised with 15 minutes to go with a goal from ‘Wood’s’ top goal scorer David Bryant.

‘Wood’s’ 6 game winning streak came to an end at the weekend against 2nd placed Welling United, however ‘Wood’ will be eager to return to winning ways this evening, so an open, exciting and attacking game is in store at the Camrose Ground.

Address: The Camrose Ground, Western Way, Basingstoke, RG22 6EZ.

Admission Prices: Adult £12, Concessions £7, Under 16 £3.
