AWARDS HANDED OUT

3 June 2021

Last Friday, in the lead up to the last game of the season against Maidenhead United and the eagerly anticipated return of the Wood Army to Meadow Park on Saturday 29th May, Boreham Wood FC held its annual end of season awards for its players, management and staff.

This year’s celebrations were more modest and subdued than in previous years, as our annual gala dinner with over 300 in attendance made up of players, staff, sponsors, partners, supporters, friends, and family typically held at the Village Hotel in Elstree was replaced by a more intimate awards lunch held at Meadow Park for just 35…

Following a 2-course lunch served by Wood’s marvellous hospitality team, attention turned to handing out the awards, with our Chairman Danny Hunter and Manager Luke Garrard taking centre stage.

First came thank you gestures to our “history makers” squad and staff members who helped prepare the teaam for our historic FA Cup run all the way to the 3rd Round Proper for the very first time in the Club’s history. All were recognised with commemorative shirts from the 3rd Round tie against Millwall framed and presented to them…

Following this came our appearance awards, celebrating those players who have reached significant appearance milestones for the Club. Please see full list of appearance award recipients below: –

On behalf of everyone at Boreham Wood FC we would like to thank and congratulate not only our award recipients but all the players, management and staff at the Club for their efforts in what has been a difficult season for all involved, both on and off the pitch.

It’s now time for us all, including our much-loved Wood Army, to recharge our batteries, cheer England onto victory in the Euros and to look forward positively to the 2021/22 season, as our Club, our Town and our Community, looks to come out of this COVID-19 pandemic nightmare with a newer younger squad, a newer younger backroom team and a new energy…

We look forward to welcoming the Wood Army both old and new back to Meadow Park on a consistent basis next season, trust us you’ll never know how much we’ve missed you this season!

OUR CLUB. OUR TOWN. OUR COMMUNITY.
