ARSENAL COMING TO TOWN!

28 July 2011

Boreham Wood FC prepare to welcome an Arsenal XI to Meadow Park this Friday evening, with a bumper crowd expected to turn out to support both the Gunners and the local Peace Hospice.

50% of gate proceeds made from the Arsenal X1 game will go to the The Peace Hospice, who are Cardif Pinnacle’s (the clubs main sponsor) and Boreham Wood FC’s chosen charity!

Over the years this fixture has hosted many of Arsenals football greats, such as Tony Adams, Dennis Bergkamp, Ray Parlour, Robin Van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Antonio Reyes, Robert Pires and many more… More recently the younger generation of Arsenal stars have played at Meadow Park with a host of English, Dutch, Brazilian, French and Spanish youth internationals showing off their magnificent technical ability.

Boreham Wood FC first team manager Ian Allinson (himself a former Arsenal player) commented, “It’s fantastic to yet again welcome an Arsenal XI here to Meadow Park, for what is always one of the highlights of our season. To dedicate the game to the Peace Hospice this year, makes it all the more special, and I am thrilled that we can support a charity as needed and as vital to the local community as The Peace Hospice. I hope that the game is supported by the town and from people all over Hertfordshire, and we can all raise as much money as possible”.

Tickets are available on the night, however they can also be puchased in advance from club or the Peace Hospice’s shop in Shenley Road on Borehamwoods town centre.

For telephone bookings by credit card or further information on the event please contact the club on 020 8953 5097 (during the hours of 11am and 6pm). Please note that credit/debit card bookings will incur a booking charge.
