A great crowd on Non-League Day!

24 March 2025

Boreham Wood Football Club would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our game against Dorking Wanderers on Non-League Day and in the Glass House for the club’s post-match community Karaoke Evening.

Despite a disappointing result on the pitch, the club recorded its highest home league attendance of the season, with 1,477 in attendance at Meadow Park. The atmosphere in the Glass House afterward was all about togetherness, as the Wood Army, club staff, players and sponsors united for a night filled with laughter, music, and community spirit.

Football is full of highs and lows, and Saturday highlighted that perfectly – the result may have been a low, but the brilliant crowd and evening were definite highs. That said, the size of the crowd and nights like these remind us what’s been built and that we’re more than just a football club, we’re one big family and still a community football club.

The unity on display was a testament to the incredible spirit of our fans, staff, players and town who shared the disappointment of the day, then shared the mic, belting out a few classic tunes and sharing the dance floor long into the evening.

Luke and the dressing room are now firmly at the business end of the season, and with six cup finals ahead, we still have a real opportunity to secure a top league position and contest the play-offs.

So, we must take Saturday’s defeat on the chin, carry this club and town’s spirit forward, keep backing Luke and the players, and ensure that, when the final whistle blows on the season, we have given ourselves a chance to celebrate further success!
