Another successful home community initiative!

Yesterday, the Boreham Wood Community Trust attended the National League Trust’s regional tournament, hosted by Woking FC’s Cardinals in the Community and held at Walton & Hersham United FC.

The club was represented at the tournament by local schools, Fairfield Junior School and Summerswood Primary School in the year five/six mixed and year five/six girls’ categories, with both schools qualifying after winning our own primary school tournaments held at Meadow Park in January.

As such, both travelled down to Surrey with us on our ‘Wood Army’ buses and would go on to perform excellently in what was a highly competitive tournament with some excellent teams and talent in attendance.

Unfortunately, both sides fell at the group stage hurdle but were a credit to themselves, as they all had a fantastic experience and day representing their schools, our club, our town and our community.

Community Trust Lead Coach, Chaz Brown commented, saying: “Both our teams, from Summerswood and Fairfield, did everyone at their schools, our club and town proud today, and as a club, we want to say a huge thank you to the staff and parents from both schools. We loved their energy and efforts, and we hope to see them back down at Meadow Park again very soon.”
