We need home FA Cup support on Sunday!

Wood Chairman Danny Hunter has spoken about his growing concerns regarding the home support for Sunday’s FA Cup home game against Leyton Orient. 

Hunter said, “At present, Orient fans have out purchased the home supporters hugely with only 800 home tickets having been sold to date. It’s a little worrying, but our fans do have a track record of buying their tickets late and also turning out in numbers on the day.”

Hunter concluded, “In truth, we don’t want a situation where home advantage is given up to Orient supporters, who at present out number us on ticket sales alone. That said, I know when we have Meadow Park rocking, when our town turns out and when the younger fans have their noisy heads on, then the decibels go up, the atmosphere becomes electric, and then Luke Garrard and the players normally respond. I just hope our fans support the team and get themselves down to the game, I hope they’re loud and hopefully home advantage gives us a real chance of causing another Cup upset.”
