Aaron Lamont’s side have won 3 matches of their last 5 in all competitions and especially in their league carrying some serious momentum beating Hashtag United away 1-0. Although, most recently Carshalton did lose to Hadley in the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Trophy, conceding late on with 2 decisive goals before being in a 1-1 deadlock, losing 3-1 knocking them out the qualifying rounds of the FA Trophy. The Robins haven’t had the best start to their season but are slowly starting to find their form  and the players will need to be careful with that. In contrast, The Wood sit 7th in National League South now as the players confidence should be flying high with 4 wins in a row now and carry on the momentum into this game after 1-0 away win in the league plus our very positive record and history of having success in Boreham reaching the FA Cup main draw.

FORM GUIDE // ALL COMPS

Carshalton Athletic: W-D-W-W-L

The Robins have won 3 of their last 5 matches, their most recent win in the Non League Premier fixture where on the road they impressively beat the well known Hashtag United 1-0.

Aaron Lamont’s team first hosted their game at home in South London against South Park, in a match where both teams were cautious and not wanting to commit to much with the Robins eventually emerging victories 1-0 winners progressing to the 3rd qualifying round of the FA Cup. Still at home but back in league action, Carshalton then hosted Dover Athletic which was a game frustrating for the home side as they couldn’t finish their clear cut opportunities as it ended 1-1. The Robins followed up their league draw with a 3-2 victory over Melksham Town now taking them to the 4th qualifying round of the FA Cup. Carshalton then on the road won 1-0 in a close game against the renowned club Hashtag United with a winner to remember for the visitors as they left with all 3 points in the Non League Premier.

Things did turn somewhat sour for the Robins in their latest game, as a trip to North-West London saw them crashing down to losing ways in the FA Trophy 3rd qualifying round as 3-1 losers on the day. Carshalton were quite defensive for most of the game as they knew Hadley loved dominating the ball and had most of the possession and best chances in the game, but the Robins had managed to hold out for large parts of the game when they equalised for 1-1, due to the constant pressure Hadley applied though they eventually scored twice leaving Carshalton out the cup competition.

ONE TO WATCH:

Luke Read

Luke read who was Carshalton’s player of the season last year and has been at the club for over 3 seasons now will be one to watch out for during Saturdays game. He is a versatile defender who can play in both the centre-back positions or left-back to fill in if needed and knows how to help keep structure of Carshalton’s backline but not just that Read loves those long diagonal balls to switch play which Boreham will need to look out for and not allowing Read to dribble as the defender loves a run if he can push the team forwards.
