With Boreham Wood FC being on London’s doorstep, just north of the nation’s capital in south Hertfordshire, it positions the club in the prime location to welcome the official supporter’s clubs of Premier League and Football League clubs from across the country to enhance their day out supporting their beloved clubs.
Our newly constructed fan zone, located in the north east corner of our stadium, can cater for upwards of 500 fans for a pre-match pit stop to refresh, have a few drinks and grab a bite to eat, before heading off to the match.
With the club based in close proximity to the A1, M1 and M25 motorways, not only does it make the club easily accessible, but it also assists with supporter’s clubs onward travel by road to their final destination, whether that be Wembley, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Emirates, or anywhere else across London and the south east.
Furthermore, the club is local to London underground, overground and Thameslink train lines, which offers supporter’s clubs other travel options when making their onward journey to the Stadium. For instance, it is often the case when clubs are visiting Wembley, they stop off at Meadow Park before getting a direct train from Stanmore to Wembley Park station whilst their coach remains parked at the Stadium during the match. At the conclusion of the fixture, the coach returns to Stanmore station to collect supporters before heading home. Due to road closures, as well as other restrictions leaving stadiums from time-to-time such as match day traffic, this option can sometimes work better.
