PREVIEW

The Wood will be looking to bounce back after a disappointing defeat on Saturday away to Ebbsfleet Utd. The Wood haven’t won at home in their last five home games but with back-to-back fixtures at Meadow Park they will be hoping that their fortunes can change.

Hartlepool were relegated from League Two last year after finishing 23rd in the league table, in their 46 games they won 9, drew 16, and lost 21 games finishing on 43 points. This season they started in good form winning four in a row after an opening day defeat away to Barnet. However more recently they have been struggling and currently sit in 9th on 19 points just missing out on play offs due to goal difference.

FORM GUIDE

Hartlepool United- L-D-W-L-L

The Pools have currently only won one game in their last six after starting the season really positive and looking like one of the likely front runners.

Their last five games began with a heavy defeat away to Oxford City losing 5-2 and conceding four second half goals.

They then welcomed Woking to the Suit Direct Stadium, and after going into the break level, two second half goals from Ricky Korboa ensured a 2-0 defeat.

On Tuesday 19th September the Pools travelled to Altrincham, they took the lead in the opening 15 minutes but goals from Isaac Marriott and Lewis Baines meant that Altrincham went into the half leading. Joe Grey got a goal back in the second half meaning they left the J Davidson Stadium with a point.

The following Saturday they picked up their first win in four away to Dagenham and Redbridge thanks to a Sam Ling own goal in the first half.

More recently they have suffered back-to-back 2-0 losses at home to Solihull Moors and Dorking Wanderers.
