EXTENDED: CHRIS BUSH

18 August 2023

Boreham Wood FC is delighted to announce the contract extension of Chris Bush on a new deal that will see the defender remain at Meadow Park until the end of the 2024/25 season, with an option to extend his stay for a further season.

The 31-year-old defender joined the Wood in late December of last year and had an instant impact on the backline. Since his arrival, Bush has made 29 appearances for the Wood, scoring on one occasion in a 1-1 draw at home against Solihull Moors. The powerful defender has also added a threat to our attacking unit with his long throw.

Bush was instrumental in our play-off push last year and started in both play-off games against Barnet and Notts County.

Upon Chris extending his contract with the Wood, manager Luke Garrard commented, “I’m very happy; it shows where we are as a club. I think it’s fair to say he’s been one of our most consistent performers since he joined us, and he’s already been a part of some great successes.”

Chris, we are delighted that you will still be calling Meadow Park home until the end of the 2024/25 season, at least!
