DANNY ELLIOTT RECALLED FROM GATESHEAD

31 January 2023

Boreham Wood FC can confirm that striker Danny Elliott has been recalled by the Club from his current loan spell with National League counterparts Gateshead FC.

Danny arrived at Meadow Park in the summer of 2022 from Boston United having scored 31 goals in all competitions last season for the Pilgrims. However, Danny left to join Gateshead on loan at the beginning of December and in the two-months Danny spent in the North-East, he has been in fine form, scoring six goals in nine appearances for the Heed.

Upon the return of Danny from his loan at Gateshead, Wood Manager Luke Garrard said, “Danny has done fantastic on his loan at Gateshead, scoring six goals in eight matches during his time in the North-East.

“We always had an agreement that he needed to go out and get game time, confidence and goals, and he has definitely stuck to his side of the bargain. Danny now returns fully fit and firing, ready to push us up the table.

“Danny will be available for selection this evening and we look forward to welcoming him back in our building to aid us in our play-off push.”

Subject to the necessary clearances, Danny will be available for selection for Wood’s trip to Aldershot Town in National League action this evening.

Welcome back, Danny!
