Form Guide

The Wood won last time out, beating Cheshunt 2-0 in the Herts senior Cup Semi-Final. In the last league outing Wood returned with all 3 points securing National League safety for another year.

Tom Champion put the Wood ahead in the first half with a stunning header from a Kieron Murtagh corner.

Wood could and should have extended their lead late on with Bradley Ash and Ralston Gabriel missing from close range.

One to Watch – Adam Rooney

The 30-year-old started his career at Stoke City and has had spells at Yeovil Town (loan), Chesterfield (loan), Bury (loan), Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Birmingham City, Swindon Town (loan), Oldham Athletic, Aberdeen.

Rooney’s goal scoring records are second to none having scored 6 goals in 4 Europa League games for Aberdeen in 2014-15. He also ended that season as Top scorer in the SPL.

Since signing for Salford Ronney has found the back of the net 21 times in just 35 league appearance and will be a handful for the Wood defence tomorrow.
