Team News
Luke Garrard has no fresh injuries to contend with.
The Wood gaffer confirmed that Gozie Ugwu is now fit again and will return for the clash with Havant & Waterlooville.
While, Sean Shields will return to the squad, having been cup tied against Blyth Spartans in the FA Trophy.
Form Guide
The Wood suffered FA Trophy frustration last time out, going out to Blyth Spartans with a 1-0 loss away from home.
The game prior to that had seen the Wood put four past Dagenham & Redbridge in a superb attacking display.
The Daggers did score four themselves, in the 4-4 draw, and Garrard will be hoping to tighten up his defence, without losing any of the attacking intent.
Goals for Justin Shaibu, Ricky Shakes, Bradley Ash and a debut strike from Idris Kanu sealed the draw, in the entertaining match up.
The Wood had enjoyed a productive December prior to the match against Dagenham, with four wins, two draws and just one loss in all competitions.
The Wood currently sit 13th in the National League, on 38-points.
Managed by 43-year-old Lee Bradbury, Havant & Waterlooville have found their feet in the National League and currently lie in 19th place.
Bradbury has overseen two promotions as manager of The Hawks and is now looking to sustain their position in the top tier of non-league football.
Havant won last time out in the National League, with a 1-0 win over Barrow, thanks to goals from Theo Lewis and Rory Williams.
One to Watch – Andreas Robinson
Andreas Robinson is a strong midfield presence with an experienced head on his shoulders.
The 26-year-old has been with The Hawks since joining from Gosport in the 2015/16 campaign and has been an ever-present since.
A product of the Southampton youth academy, Robinson has made 23 appearances for Bradbury’s side this season as they look to ensure their National League survival.
From the Dugout – Luke Garrard
“People must get bored of me saying it, but it is going to be tough. They have done ever so well under Lee (Bradbury) and Shaun (Gale).
“They have gone through many a body in terms of personnel, which is probably because they haven’t found a formula till late.
“They are probably a different sort of entity coming here, as opposed to at their place. It is a little bit more open, a little bit flatter, and they haven’t got the same personnel, who they had at the start of the season.
“We have done our homework, we have watched their last five games, and assessed where we think they are going to be a threat, and where we think they have got a slight weakness.
“We have worked on that heavily today, and for me, it is about getting a tempo, an energy and a purpose to our play.
“We have got to put some wrongs right because of our performances up at Blyth, when we were nowhere near the level.
“We have had a very productive week though and a very positive mindset, in terms of kicking on and giving them some targets to hit.”
