THE FA CUP IS COMING TO TOWN

31 October 2017

Boreham Wood Football Club are excited to announce that they will be bringing the FA Cup Trophy to town.

The club will be going on a local whistle stop tour with the famous trophy to celebrate reaching the First Round Proper of the FA Cup once again.

The Wood have been drawn against former Premier League outfit, and previous FA Cup winners, Blackpool at home, in the First Round of the cup. The match is this Saturday, November 4 (3pm) and we need every one of you there!!

As you know, Luke Garrard and his men emphatically knocked out our biggest local rivals St Albans City 3-1 in the previous round of the competition, and with that win, brought the bragging rights back to south Hertfordshire.

The famous old cup will be visiting numerous locations across the town and its schools. It will be ready for as many photo opportunities with the loyal Wood Army as possible – so don’t miss out!!

Our community football club want to share our success with the whole community, and not only those who turned out to support the club, so magnificently, against St Albans City.

The famous trophy will start at Hertswood school from 9am, where our manager and players will join it to pose for as many photographs with the children and staff as they want.

It will then be travelling to Elstree & Borehamwood Town Council and our sponsors GBE Installations, who will get their moment with the cup.

The trophy will then head off to our main sponsors Barnet and Southgate College for more photographs with their students and the college staff.

The FA Cup will be at our town’s ever popular Tesco’s superstore between 3.30pm and 4.30pm, where Saturday’s match tickets for the Cup game against Blackpool will also be available to purchase.

PLEASE NOTE; Match Tickets will be available to purchase at Tesco all day on Thursday, November 2, and Friday, November 3 between 10am and 4pm.

The Trophy will also visit our very loyal sponsors at the Village Hotel in Elstree, our principle sponsors at Lexus Edgware Road and then continue on to the world-famous St James’ Court Hotel at Buckingham gate, next to Buckingham Palace.

Finally, the FA Cup will reach the world-renowned Mango Tree restaurant, which is in our opinion, the best Thai restaurant in London.

So, make sure that you support your community club by getting your match tickets for Saturday, and don’t forget to head down to one of these locations and have your photo taken with the famous old trophy. Then, prepare yourself and the family for a historic cup shock and a bit of FA Cup magic.
