Form Guide

A dominating display against Chester FC, saw the Wood move up to eight in the table, just one point outside of the playoffs.

Goals from Bruno Andrade and Shaun Jeffers for the second match in succession helped the Wood to a fifth match unbeaten in all competitions.

Another win could see the Wood move into the playoff places ahead of the weekend.

Guiseley currently sit in 21st position, just one place ahead of Chester, and have recently signed Stevenage striker Rowan Liburb on-loan.

Managed by 45-year-old Paul Cox, the Lions won just their second match of the season on Saturday, a 4-2 home victory against Solihull Moors, Cox’s first win as manager.

From the Dugout – Luke Garrard

“They are a club in transition, they have gone from part-time to full-time and they have got a manager in Paul Cox who knows the level.

“Every time he has managed, he has had results; he took Barrow to sixth in the league last year.

“So, I have to give credit to Paul Cox, he has brought in a lot of personnel and hopefully he doesn’t make it click as soon as possible.

“I am hoping that they are in transition, like Chester are, and that we can get the majority of the decisions on Tuesday evening, with regards to our performances and the way that we go about our business.

“I am hopeful that we can go and mirror what we done against Chester, with the endeavour and hunger, and maybe play a little bit more football.”
