There is only a week left to join Boreham Wood’s record-breaking PASE Academy, with open trials closing next week. Meaning that this is your last chance to join the club before it closes its doors on another successful year’s recruitment.
The PASE Academy has been hugely successful so far this year, with hundreds of new players beginning their footballing and educational journey.
PASE is famed for its continued success, and this season has been no different, with the Under 18s sitting top of their table, with five wins from five, and nine points clear.
Cameron Mawer’s under 18s have recently been drawn to face Hendon in the 2nd Qualifying round of the prestigious FA Youth Cup, where they will play on the club’s brand new Premier League standard, million pound Desso pitch.
The young Wood reached the second round of the tournament last year, beating League One outfit Northampton Town along the way.
PASE Academy manager Luke Garrard asserted: “You don’t want to miss this opportunity, the set-up here is first-class and the teams have all had a great start to the season.
“There are former PASE players playing right around the country, and they all have an education under their belts as well.
“There’s just a week to go of recruiting until we stop for the year and it’s so easy to get involved, anyone can come down to a training session and trial.”
The Wood Academy has become a breeding ground for young players in recent years with over 250 players in the professional and semi-professional game, including Lee Hodson, Calaum Jahraldo-Martin, Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu and Kyle Vassell. The most recent of which was Academy captain Ben Goodliffe, who was snapped up by Championship outfit Wolverhampton Wanderers.
It was another hugely successful year domestically for the academy, as they became both the National College Champions of England and Wales and the Conference Leagues ‘Champion of Champions’.
The PASE Academy was set up by the Chairman in 2002 and provides 16-to-18-year-olds of all abilities the chance to join the club’s sports education programme. It is completely free apart from a small training kit cost.
This scheme is arguably the most successful programme of its kind in the UK and is based upon players showing the right attitude, discipline and desire.
There is an impressive array of coaches in the scheme, with professional footballers Paul Benson, Dean Wells and Tom Champion joining David Stephens, Bruno Andrade, Angelo Balanta and Danny Woodards
The coaches continue to produce International talent with three players earning call-ups for England Colleges this campaign and six making their first team debuts.
Upon joining the scheme, you will also receive a FREE season ticket to all of the Boreham Wood and Arsenal development team matches that are played at Meadow Park.
Boreham Wood offer the most diverse array of academic courses in the country for this type of scheme and have a track record for success in regards to retention and course success rates.
PASE offers a wide range of tailor-made courses that provide its students with an educational programme that marries up to their training programme. These courses include BTEC, CYQ, Construction and A-levels.

The training programmes work around the student’s academic timetables so that they can achieve the success they need both on-and-off the field.
