After waiting for around a season and a half for a televised game. Wood have been rewarded by having our scheduled 3pm away Boxing Day fixture at Eastleigh, re-scheduled by BT Sport, to the 27th of December, with a 7:45 kick off for its live game..

Wood Chairman Danny Hunter wasn’t overly impressed with the festive period fixture change and said “Like many others, I love our traditional Boxing Day game. So I need to apologise to many of our supporters, who are going to be put out by this fixture change. An away game given a 7:45 kick off over Christmas is difficult to get to by public transport, so its obviously not ideal. However it’s completely out of my control, so we’ll just have to get on with it”..

“That said and In the spirit of BT Sports christmas and goodwill charm offensive. I will probably put on a bit of lunch for our travelling fans before they depart from the club. I’ll probably book them a nice supporters coach ‘free of charge’, put a few bottles of beer on the coach for them, and if they can fill it out, we can all get to Eastleigh in good spirits and hopefully return having nicked the three points”.. He concluded
