MATCH PREVIEW: BOREHAM WOOD VS ALDERSHOT

12 September 2016

Preview

After Saturday’s well deserved point up in Cumbria, The Wood are back on home soil this coming Tuesday when Aldershot are the visitors to Meadow Park.

Gary Waddock or the Wadfather as he is more commonly known by the Aldershot supporters has started his second stint in charge well. The shots currently sit just outside the play-offs with 5 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats from their 9 games.

With no fresh injury worries and the addition of Anthony Jeffrey back into the squad the gaffer should have a near fully fit squad to choose from.

There has been an overhaul of players at the Rec in the summer with a change in manager and they will certainly be looking to get in and around the play-offs comes the seasons end.

At home the Wood have won just one of their four homes games but will be looking to put that right with two home games in a week.

There will be a first return to Meadow Park for Callum Reynolds after his summer departure. Bernard Mensah and Scott Rendall will be ones to keep quiet if the Wood are to pick up maximum points.

The last time the two teams met in the league was at the back end of last season when a 2-1 victory at the Rec set up the start of an unlikely escape.
