MATCH PREVIEW: BARROW VS BOREHAM WOOD

8 September 2016

Preview

After Saturday’s excellent win against a Dagenham side that had a 100% home record and that hadn’t conceded a goal, we make our longest journey of the season this coming Saturday when we travel to Holker Street, to take on another much fancied side in Barrow AFC.

The gaffer was able to welcome back Jamie Lucas into his squad on Saturday after returning on a 3 month loan from Bristol Rovers, as well as fit again Daniel Uchechi, with no fresh injury worries the gaffer and his squad will make the journey north in buoyant mood.

Barrow a side who invested heavily in their squad over the summer have started well especially at home having won 3 and drawn 1 of their home games to date.

That said Wood have picked up 8 points away from Meadow Park with two wins and two draws from four games.

Ones to watch for the Wood will be Jordan Williams who was subject to transfer speculation in the window just gone and former player Byron Harrison.

The last time the two teams met in the league at Holker Street ended goalless back in March 2016. Though with the form of both sides another 0-0 does seem very unlikely.
