THE SEASON FINALE: MATCH PREVIEW – EASTLEIGH VS BOREHAM WOOD

26 April 2014

Tomorrow is the last chance to see The Wood in action when they travel to Champion’s Eastleigh.

We currently sit 14th in the “ lower mid” table amongst a cluster of clubs. The highest finish we can achieve is 13th, however a defeat and other clubs around us picking up maximum points would see us slip to 17th.

Our hosts have put away the calculators sitting six points clear at the top of the table. It will therefore be a Conference Premier side we will face , which will be a stern test for our triumphant Cup winners.

There are doubts over the fitness of Luke Garrard, Ricky Shakes and Graeme Montgomery after their heroic efforts on Wednesday night.

The Spitfires have goals in them all over the park. Jai Reason, Criag McAllister and Ben Wright have 48 between them, with two other players having scored eleven times this campaign.

However, knowing our big crowd, big occasion mentality we will not be travelling to make up the numbers.  Eastleigh have won seventeen of their twenty home matches to date, lets us hope it stays that way!

Come On You Wood!

Saturday April 26th, kick off 3pm.

The Silverlake Stadium, Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh. SO50 9HT.
